Marles Farmhouse is a fabulous, detached, stone-built holiday home located about one mile from the village of Salwayash on the edge of the Marshwood Vale set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The location is peaceful and secluded with no near neighbours and the property was completely renovated in 2015 to include a modern interior to complement the original 19th century building with its beams, thick stone walls and fireplace. This house allows large families or groups of friends to holiday together with ease with a huge, well equipped kitchen with integrated dining area that will happily seat all 12 guests. Although set in the countryside the coast at West Bay, Bridport and Charmouth are all within 10 miles of the property. There are many great walks to explore which can be enjoyed with your pets as Marles Farmhouse also accepts two well behaved dogs. A pub lies less than 1 mile from the property.
The accommodation at Marles Farmhouse comprises of a sitting room with woodburning stove with Smart TV, Blu-ray player, DVD player and WiFi enabled throughout. There is a second family/games room, again with a woodburner to give you more options for relaxation and socialising as well as an external games barn to enjoy. The kitchen has an integrated dining area and a utility equipped with a large range cooker with double oven, microwave, fridge, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer as well as a range of accessories and utensils. Also on the ground floor is a twin bedroom and a shower room with basin and toilet making this an excellent choice for those with limited mobility. Up to the first floor where there are 5 further bedrooms. There are two king size doubles with en suite shower rooms, two twin bedrooms that can also be made up as super king size doubles upon request and an adult bunk room. There are two further bathrooms, one with bath with shower over, basin and toilet and one with bath, basin and toilet. A cot and highchair can be made available upon request.
Outside is an enclosed garden complete with furniture and a barbecue and a children's area with climbing frame and swing as well as an open fronted garage with table tennis. There is off road parking for up to 6 cars. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.

Bridport is a market town on the Jurassic coast. The clay cliffs are abundant with fossils making the area popular with fossil hunters. Its most famous landmark is the view of the conical Colmers Hill with small clump of trees aligned with West Steet. Bridport has an arts centre, cinema, library and museum. The museum includes an extensive exhibition of the town's long history of rope-making and is open 10am - 5pm daily except Sunday from Easter until the end of October. Entry and access to all exhibitions is free. The Bridport Literary Festival has been running since 2005 and has played host to the industries biggest names. The Food Festival is held in late June at Asker Meadow and showcases locally produced foods for which the area is well known. The Food Festival week concludes with the Round Table Beer Festival. The town holds its annual carnival on the third Saturday in August.
