This charming cottage is set in a peaceful spot on the edge of the country town of Beaminster, which offers something for everyone within its historic centre, including two popular bistros, essential stores, boutique shops and a choice of pubs. This area is renowned for its network of walks, which wind through picturesque countryside taking in sights such as Pilsdon Pen, Ham Hill and The Cerne Abbas Giant, which are all within easy reach. You can head south and visit the vibrant market town of Bridport, cobbled streets of Lyme Regis or perhaps laze on the beach at Charmouth. With the spectacular Jurassic coast to explore there is no shortage of fantastic days out to be had here.

Two steps lead to the main entrance into this detached cottage. Once inside you are met with a useful boot room, which is ideal for muddy boots and paws. Just next door is a galley style kitchen with an electric oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and microwave. Next is the dining room complete with a wood burner, making it the ideal spot for leisurely family meals. A corridor leads from here to a useful separate WC, a utility room with a washing machine, fridge/freezer and access to a sunroom. The charming sunroom overlooks the garden and has seating, a desk area and doors leading out to the garden. Heading back into the dining room, an inner hallway leads to the lounge, which has a wood burner and TV/DVD. Tucked beneath the stairs is a charming mini play area suitable for younger guests. The stairs rise from the inner hallway to the first floor where there is a half landing with a bathroom, complete with shower over bath and WC. Heading up a few more steps will take you onto the main landing where there is a king-size bedroom to the left, with lovely countryside views and an en-suite bathroom comprising of bath, separate shower and WC. Heading along the landing you will find three further double bedrooms, one with dual aspect views.

Doors lead from either the sunroom or the rear corridor to the fully enclosed garden. There is a split level lawn enclosed by hedging and a patio area with furniture and charcoal BBQ. To the front of the property, there is a further lawn area enclosed by a low stone wall and flower beds. An off-road parking space is available to the side of the property, with additional roadside parking, subject to availability.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Beaminster is a small, picturesque town in the heart of West Dorset's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town has many local artists living here. In fact, the Beaminster Festival held in late June celebrates local artists and much more. Beaminster has two supermarkets, craft shops, and a cafe. Natural beauty is all around this town and an array of walks to explore either by foot or by bike. If you prefer to try something a little more unusual, explore the area in the company of Llamas or Donkey Walking Adventures. Mapperton House and Gardens is not only beautiful but is also free to RHS members. It lies just a short distance away and is a great day out. It is no stranger to featuring in films, you may have seen it in Daphne Du Maurier's "Rebecca". Famous faces you may see in the town include Martin Clunes who has now been a resident of the area for many years.
