Just a short drive or a delightful walk downhill through fields, woods and along the riverbank is the historic World Heritage coastal site of Lyme Regis (1 mile). The town itself has a popular beach, quaint cobbled streets, seafront promenade and a pretty, historic harbour known as ‘The Cobb,’ where you can watch the bright boats bobbing and local fishermen going about their daily business. Offering a great choice of pubs, restaurants, cafes, galleries and boutique shops, Lyme Regis is the ideal place to enjoy lazy days together. Set in the heart of the Jurassic Coast, this picturesque area has an abundance of beaches to explore with fossil-rich cliffs. Many quaint towns and villages are within easy reach, as well as long walks or cycle routes to be enjoyed through spectacular countryside. Lyme Regis Golf Club is within 0.5 miles of the property and is open to non-members, including the bar and restaurant. The Devon border also runs alongside the town, making this the ideal base for touring, and the property is just 5 miles from Axminster Main Line Train Station.

The lounge area boasts an electric flame-effect wood burner, a Smart TV and plenty of relaxed seating. The compact kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and a washing machine. There is also a dining table with space for two to enjoy leisurely meals. Heading upstairs you will find the double bedroom with the bathroom next door, which includes a bath with shower over and WC.

Lyme Regis, nicknamed 'The Pearl of Dorset' lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and is near Charmouth and the Devon border. Lyme Regis is a historic seaside resort and fishing port and boasts breathtaking scenery, making it a resort for all seasons. The town is famous for its fossils, often found on its beaches and cliffs. In fact, it was in the cliffs that the famous Ichthyosaur was discovered by Mary Anning, the daughter of a local fossil collector. She went on to find a complete Plesiosaur and the well-preserved remains of a flying reptile. Book a fossil walks with local experts to ensure you are both safe and full of knowledge by the end. The famous harbour wall known as 'The Cobb' featured in the film and novel of The French Lieutenant's Woman.
