Don your trainers and uncover the surrounding countryside, breathing in heady, fresh air and earning yourself a tasty reward afterwards. Encompassed by fields and only 2 miles from the beach, you can get out and about to explore the locale whatever the weather. Then, for great food served with unmissable views, take your pick from beachside cafes at Burton Bradstock (2 miles) or West Bay (4 miles). If you’re more of a culture vulture and fancy a taste of town vibes, travel 3 miles away to Bridport or 13.5 miles to the picture-postcard Lyme Regis, where there is plenty on offer for all generations.
Wander along the pretty streamside path, past three other properties and towards your dream getaway. Upon arriving at the property, you will cross a small courtyard and step into the hallway. Leave your shoes, coats and worries behind and make your way in. A lovely room blending classic and contemporary styles, the lounge balances traditional features with modern home comforts. Kitted with two plump sofas and an armchair to sink into once you are ready, you can thumb through the pages of one of the books provided or tune into your favourite series on TV. In the colder months, the wood burner is a welcome addition and throws an amber glow around the room. From the lounge, two steps lead you down into the kitchen. With a small dining table and access to the garden, the kitchen will be a firm favourite with all the family. Equipped with an oven and electric hob, microwave, kettle, washing machine and lots of utensils, everything has been thought of. Mix up some healthy dishes while the kettle boils for another round of tea and let the sunshine flood in through the open door in summer. For extra convenience, the property has two bathrooms, meaning you don’t have to wait for ages to get your turn. Downstairs, the first bathroom includes a walk-in shower, whilst upstairs the second bathroom has a bath with a shower overhead and a heated towel rail for added comfort. As well as the bathroom, there are also three bedrooms upstairs. These include two doubles and one single.

Burton Bradstock is a pretty village famous for its sandstone cliffs. You can reach the nearby villages of West Bay and West Bexington along the South West Coast Path. Burton Bradstock has a few pubs, a post office, tearooms, and cafes. The cliffs show alternate hard and soft layered geology of the Bridport Sands which make it appear to glow bright gold in the sunlight, a spectacular and mesmerizing sight. A break in the cliff formation provides access to the National Trust owned Hive Beach. The beach is very popular with families and is a favourite with visitors and locals who enjoy walking their dogs and enjoying a meal at The Hive Beach Cafe. The village also plays host to the wonderful Spring Tide Food Festival each May. This gives visitors the chance to sample and buy local produce including a selection of local beer and cider.
